“Metade da laranja” means everyone is half an orange looking for something to complete them. Half an Orange is a duo of Ohio natives who write, sing, produce, illustrate, and animate their own work. Their debut album, "Mostly We Grow Trilogy," has amassed over 40 million streams on Spotify and was adapted into the first-ever animated DJ residency with Live Nation. Half an Orange also released the first-ever show on the blockchain, "Non Fungible Oranges," consisting of four episodes that they wrote, animated, illustrated, directed, voiced, and scored. As part of the inaugural class of Reddit's Artist Program, they are also usable characters on the site through their illustrated Reddit NFT Avatar. Their music has garnered over 100 million streams, and they have been featured in popular video games like Rocket League, Fortnite, and Rec Room. Their remix collaboration with Kenny Loggins for "Playing with the Boys" was the focus track for the Rocket League 2019 Summer Event. During the COVID pandemic, Half an Orange performed a live musical and animated show on Twitch from Team Liquid's training facility. Esports star Ninja starred in their "Old Friends" music video in 2018. They have also debuted award-winning music, short films, and music videos at film festivals across the US, including the American Indian Film Institute and Festival.
